Information You Provide
Search queries
A name, location, or other search term entered in a site search tool is sent to the independent provider that operates that tool. Bamberg County Busted Mugshots does not store or maintain a separate log of those query terms.
Messages and submissions
Information sent in an email or other contact submission may be kept so that a response can be made. It is not shared outside the organization except when disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.
Technical Data and Cookies
Like most websites, the site and its service providers may receive technical information when a page is loaded. This can include:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser type and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on pages;
- the referring website, if one is provided; and
- date and time information.
Cookies
Cookies and similar technologies may be used to understand how visitors use the site. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, although some functions may work differently when those settings are enabled.
How Information Is Used
- To operate, maintain, and improve the site;
- to send a search request to the appropriate partner service;
- to understand which pages visitors find useful;
- to detect, investigate, and correct technical problems; and
- to display advertising that may be selected using interest-related information.
Linked Websites
This guide links to government offices, court portals, detention information, state corrections resources, and third-party tools. Once a visitor follows a link, that destination's own privacy policy and practices apply. For example, a public-record request made through an official channel is governed by the responsible public body's process, including the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act, S.C. Code § 30-4-30, where applicable.
Advertising partners may collect information across websites for interest-based advertising on their own systems. Bamberg County Busted Mugshots does not control those partners' separate collection or use of data.
Parties That May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold as a standalone product. It may be processed or disclosed to the following categories of recipients when needed:
- search partners that process a query entered into their tool;
- analytics providers that help measure site use;
- advertising networks that deliver or measure advertising; and
- law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
Security Practices
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information. No internet-connected service can guarantee complete security, however, and this policy does not promise that a transmission or stored item will never be compromised.
Visitors Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If a minor has provided personal information, a parent or guardian may request its deletion through the applicable contact channel.
Your Information Choices
- You may ask for a copy of personal information held by the site.
- You may ask that inaccurate personal information be corrected.
- You may request deletion of personal information, subject to any legal or operational need to retain it.
- You may opt out of certain processing where that option is available.
Changes to This Notice
This Privacy Notice may be revised as site practices change. Any updated version will be posted on this page and will apply when posted.
